This was a beautiful day with 24 people and 5 dogs out walking the beach.

This was a beautiful day with 24 people and 5 dogs out walking the beach. The sand had been pulled out enough for many medium and large sized pieces of wood to be exposed. This wood is high above a long flat beach. There were no unusual organisms, tracks or disturbances. However, there was a large number of plastic and glass bottles, with very little other types of human debris. No flocks of birds were in evidence, only nine bird carcasses, most above the wrack line and intact. Seven were Rhinoceros Auklets, one a Cassin's Auklet, and one a Tufted Puffin.

A nice bright day with a large group of birders from 30 cars looking for Snowy Plovers when I started but only 13 people walking or sitting on the beach on my way back.
