A nice bright day with a large group of birders from 30 cars looking for Snowy Plovers when I started but only 13 people walking or sitting on the beach on my way back.

A nice bright day with a large group of birders from 30 cars looking for Snowy Plovers when I started but only 13 people walking or sitting on the beach on my way back. The restrictions to protect Snowy Plover nesting went into effect March 15. The beach is very long and clean now, and flat, although the slant of the sand covers most of the wood close to the dunes. There were an incredible number of tiny bird foot prints all along the beach mile, but only two plovers spotted, and no flocks paroled the shoreline. No bird carcasses were found, and no human debris.
