This was a sunny, cold, blustery day with 8 people and 2 dogs walking or biking(1) on the extensive beach. The sand has covered most of the wood now and the beach is long and flat to the water with little wrack. There have been no disturbances in this area. The grass (hopefully the native kind) is growing up where it has been planted for the Snowy Plover. One bird carcass was recorded, a Western Gull, and several other gulls were overhead. One small flock of shore birds was busy along the waterline.

A nice bright day with a large group of birders from 30 cars looking for Snowy Plovers when I started but only 13 people walking or sitting on the beach on my way back.
