The sand is high on the beach with little wood showing, a long slope to the surf, and patchy seaweed at the tide line.
The sand is high on the beach with little wood showing, a long slope to the surf, and patchy seaweed at the tide line. This was a beautiful labor day weekend but there were only a couple of people and one dog on the beach except for two large groups of horse-back riders. Several flocks of single species shorebirds worked the sand, and a few gulls and pelicans flew overhead. There was no human debris but 8 bird carcasses were found, 5 common Murres, 2 Western Gulls and one Brandt's Cormorant.

The sky was mostly cloudy with some patches of fog and noticeable blobs of sea foam on wet sand.
A nice warm partly cloudy day with a large group enjoying the picnic area by the parking lot.
It was a blustery sunny day with 3 horse back riders and one walker on the beach.
A nice bright day with a large group of birders from 30 cars looking for Snowy Plovers when I started but only 13 people walking or sitting on the beach on my way back.
This was a sunny, cold, blustery day with 8 people and 2 dogs walking or biking(1) on the extensive beach.
