A light wrack of seaweeds (Fucus, Nereocystis, Egregia and Postelsia), Eelgrass (Zostera), a few crab carapaces, a few shells, small rocks, wood pieces, and some ocean-based debris.

A light wrack of seaweeds (Fucus, Nereocystis, Egregia and Postelsia), Eelgrass (Zostera), a few crab carapaces, a few shells, small rocks, wood pieces, and some ocean-based debris. Four bags of plastic bottles were removed from the beach. Animal diggings along the high wrack, perhaps a fox. Hooded Merganser swimming in and Western Sandpipers foraging along New River. Many Pacific Coast Tiger Beetles (Cicindela bellissima) and Oregon Tiger Beetles (Cicindela oregana oregana) were found on the north bank of the mouth of the New River. High ridge of sand with an 8 degree slope seaward and a runnel with water behind the ridge. Air and ocean temperatures of 57 and 53 degrees, respectively. Wind speed of 8.5 mph. No other people on the beach.

Notable Wildlife
Animal diggings along the high wrack, perhaps a fox. Hooded Merganser swimming in and Western Sandpipers foraging along New River. Many Pacific Coast Tiger Beetles (Cicindela bellissima) and Oregon Tiger Beetles (Cicindela oregana oregana) were found on the north bank of the mouth of the New River.
