There was a large amount of post July 4th garbage on this beach.

There was a large amount of post July 4th garbage on this beach. Including, but not limited to: bottles, cans, LOTS of firework debris, candy wrappers, plastic disposable silverware, foam pieces, human clothing, flip-flops, gloves, large gutter from a house that someone exploded fireworks inside, large coils of sharp and rusted metal springs, fires that were still burning, underwear, condom wrappers, a large broken beach chair left below the tide line, cigarette butts and plastic bags. Collected 2 large SOLVE bags full of trash.

There were tire tracks from a truck that drove from 35th street beach access all the way down to the 15th street beach access. Tracks looked like they were made the evening before.

Disturbances: Shorebirds moving in response to humans/dogs

Western Gulls and a group of Plovers (6-7) foraging in the tide line.

Total dead birds: 3. No leg bands present. All birds were Common Murres. 3 total.
