The 4 oystercatchers on the sand beach were a surprise. They may be resident on the North Jetty.
Conditions
Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 1.9 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 16. Number of dogs: 4. Walking or running: 16.
Notable Wildlife
6 gulls, 4 Black Oystercatchers, and 1 American Crow were on the beach. The oystercatchers were with the gulls, and they flew to the North Jetty after people who had been walking to the west of the boulders across the top of the jetty left. So the people may have disturbed them, so that they left for the beach.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 1. 1 broken apart Northern Fulmar.
