Had hail for part of the walk. I think that kept a lot of people indoors.

Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Styrofoam, Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.). found 2 buoys close to the rocks that form the end of the beach by the yaquina bay. One was pretty high up the beach by the beachgrass, one was at the driftline.

I did not walk the entire length of my adopted mile, but had an enjoyable hour-long outing on my beach, which is from Davis Park to the north jetty in Newport.

The last several weeks have produced many lion's mane jelly fish on the beaches of Oregon's central coast.

Most important observations was the dead Cassin's auklets

One of the dead birds was a gull, am unsure what the other two were.
