Although this is my first posting, I've walked this mile for the last year.
Report Details
Although this is my first posting, I've walked this mile for the last year. There are no significant changes. Tide was high so could not document rocky intertidal life on the north jetty. No further erosion noted on cliffs. Lots of kelp and broken shells, etc. in driftline. Nothing unusual. Several large logs and other wood. A lovely day at the beach.

Temperature: 70 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: N.
Human Activities
Number of people: 15. Walking or running: 4. Playing in sand: 3. Sitting: 5. Other Activities: 3 with kites. Some folks sunning themselves while their children played in the sand. Others walking.
Notable Wildlife
Mostly gulls.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 2. Gulls
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces.
Man-made Modifications
Beachgrass planting or removal. Early growth on dunes not hit by summer high tide.

The last several weeks have produced many lion's mane jelly fish on the beaches of Oregon's central coast.

One of the dead birds was a gull, am unsure what the other two were.
