Walked the sand dune like area and found the tide very high.

Walked the sand dune like area and found the tide very high.. up to the grass in many places toward the Calif. boarder..lots of tree stumps and dead trees on the beach from the Winchuck River I surmise. The waves were not too wild but the tidecame up to the paths made to travel to the beach area.

Number of people: 3. Sitting: 1. Fishing: 1. Other Activities: park ranger. saw one fishing and one sitting and a Park Ranger at the Hostess site for camping

Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Land-based debris (picnics, etc.), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. I picked up a partial bag of plastic pieces and left in the container at the beginning of the walk

45 People were enjoying the beach near the Visitor Center in the usual ways; walking, walking dogs (8), playing in the surf and shallows, beachcombing, sitting.

Most important observation was the dumped contruction material - mostly wood - at the end of a rough trail down the west side of dune.

Beach looks super clean; no litter except for one dog poo bag.
