Report Details

The beach looked normal for this time of year. The sand remains high with much of the wood still covered, although more big logs are visible further south. There were no horse tracks, no evidence of motorized vehicles on the beach, and only a moderate amount of human debris. Five people and 2 dogs were spotted enjoying the cold but sunny day. While there was no wrack, there were piles of bull kelp within the surfline. We found a dead shark, an otter carcass and the skeleton of a sea lion along with many dead birds, mostly Northern Fulmars.
