A very calm day, even at the dock. Empty beach; only a few gulls in the surf.

Total dead birds: 2. 1 Western Grebe, 1 gull; both carcasses were old.

A very quiet day. Most fishing boats seemed to be in their trailers on the dock. Empty crab pots stacked on dock. The beach is quite clean with a lot of driftwood in places, since the winter storms.

The dead jellies were only on the main beach, not the little pocket beach bordering Battle Rock.

During a brief respite from rain, I found the Port busy withdrawing a boat from the harbor.
