Sand level is higher than it has been in several years.

Sand level is higher than it has been in several years. I took measurements the day before. The day at the beach was fine despite the wind. I am quite happy that here were few people to share it with me.

Concerns
Disturbances: Shorebirds moving in response to humans/dogs
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 1. Larus occidentalis juvenile
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
Unusual concentration. Thousands of sails of Vellela vellela left from colonies washed in a few weeks ago and now rotted away.
