Report Details

About 20 people, all but 2 from cars parked below the dune, walking on beach and climbing the north side of the dune, with 2 dogs. Jillions of little sand crabs in the low tide zone burrowing in the sand and gathering in little pools. I have never seen the tide this low here with a totally clean and flat beach abruptly ending at the vegetated cliff. The storm of early April created a neat edge to the now-level beach. Resident Peregrine on his usual perch.

Notable Wildlife

Jillions of sand crabs burrowing into the sand and scurrying around in little pools created in the ocean floor by the ebbing tide.

Natural Changes

The vegetated dune was neatly cut off from the beach, apparently by the high waves of the April 7/8 storm.
