Notable Wildlife

I took photos for the CoastWatch Fall Challenge project today. The most notable wildlife was a sea star in the bill of a gull. The bird was in a quandary because when it dropped the star to pull it apart, the other gulls approached so it picked it up again. I never saw a resolution of the dilemma. The gull was still holding the star when I walked away.

Driftline Content

Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt). lots of shellfish casings

Natural Changes

Landslides/major boulder falls, Erosion of vegetated foredune, Visible retreat of solid bluff.

Actions & Comments
