Beautiful morning exploring tidepool biodiversity with the Friends of Otter Rock! Healthy tidepools showed off colorful intertidal life including leopard dorids, sea stars, worms, sea sacs, lot of seaweed I was unable to identify, red sponge dorid, white and orange tipped nudibranchs and so much more.

Temperature: 62 F. Cloud Cover: Foggy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: -1.8 feet.

Number of people: 56. Walking or running: 19. Tidepooling: 37. Members and volunteers of the Otter Rock Marine Reserve were out conducting a DIY bioblitz

Healthy tidepools full of nudibranchs, sea stars, chitons and seaweeds

I saw only a few surfers on the beach below the Devils Punchbowl state park trying to surf, but there was not enough wave action to surf.
