There were very few large birds visible in the air or on the ground/rocks. The only large animals were the Harbor Seals.

The day at Otter Rock (Devil's Punchbowl State Park) and Otter Crest Resort was clear and warm for January.

The was a lot of Ball Kelp on the beach, more than you would normally see, other than that everything appeared normal.

I saw only a few surfers on the beach below the Devils Punchbowl state park trying to surf, but there was not enough wave action to surf.
