Just saw this today, must have happened yesterday on Mile 195.
Report Details
Just saw this today, must have happened yesterday on Mile 195. After emailing Phillip Johnson for advice we made contact with Jay Sennewald OSP permit coordinator. He felt that this was a serious matter and that it would be pursued.
Human Activities
Noticed a recent cement flow that went down the bluffs in 3 places and out onto the sand for about 20 feet. There were bird tracks in it where some poor bird had walked through the cement. It was coming from large boulders located at a house just north of the Silver Surf Motel. We had just walked this beach the day before at the same time and this cement was not there.

It was a pleasant, warm day to share the 804 Trail and beach with quite a few visitors.

This is my first walk and report since losing my canine companion, Westly, over a year ago. The only important observation in this report is tire tracks from illegal driving on the beach.

Walking north oh Wayside Lodge I saw 15 or so dead Black Turnstone. That was the only species of bird that was dead. Lots of plastic bottles that I picked up.

I was just curious if a person who is knowledgeable about geology could explain what I'm seeing in the cliff here?
