Time and tide finally aligned for this walk. It was a mostly sunny day--welcome respite from recent showers. No unusual human or marine activity was detected. There were a few velella velella.
Conditions
Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: -1.2 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 22. Number of dogs: 5. Walking or running: 22. I walked 2 miles round trip but counted only going north from 12:47 to 1:28 PM. Access was from a hotel parking lot, so vehicles were not counted.

It was a pleasant, warm day to share the 804 Trail and beach with quite a few visitors.

This is my first walk and report since losing my canine companion, Westly, over a year ago. The only important observation in this report is tire tracks from illegal driving on the beach.

Walking north oh Wayside Lodge I saw 15 or so dead Black Turnstone. That was the only species of bird that was dead. Lots of plastic bottles that I picked up.

Walking mile 195 has resumed, now that steps from the 804 trail to the beach, in the middle of the mile, are back up.
