The number of people at this site at one time is fairly small (I include both the north and south areas of Neptune State Park) and only occasionally have I observed dogs on the beaches and never a vehicle.

The number of people at this site at one time is fairly small (I include both the north and south areas of Neptune State Park) and only occasionally have I observed dogs on the beaches and never a vehicle.Sea gulls love to bathe in fresh water Cummins Creek, the mouth of which dances across the beach at the south parking area.The creek shifted from the north side of the creek basin two winters ago and continues to erode the cliff face on the south side where the steps go down from the parking lot. Access to the beach is becoming more difficult and, I believe, more dangerous for visitors.

Temperature: 47 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: -2.2 feet.

Number of people: 4. Other Activities: walking along beach. Most people come here to walk the beach or dabble in the stream and/or the ocean. I've observed a few over the years who insist on climbing up/down the sea cliff to the south of the parking lot. Not much rock hunting, no fishing, little driftwood removal.

Cars/trucks parking: 2.
Driftline Content
Styrofoam. The large chunks of styrofoam from several years is now gone.
Natural Changes
Visible retreat of solid bluff. Over the years, the south bluff has eroded due to people climbing up and down it.

Very busy with people and dogs, but beach still clean and no major problems.

Someone/organization has painted over the grafitti that had been sprayed all over the retaining wall under the freeway at the Gwynn Creek culvert (just north of the north Neptune Beach parking lot).
