Mile 189 Report
Gwynn Cr, Neptune SP / North access, Cummins Cr
July 17, 2022
Beautiful mostly sunny morning with wide open sandy beach due to minus tide.
Report Details
Beautiful mostly sunny morning with wide open sandy beach due to minus tide. Little garbage on beach or pull outs even with large number of visitors. Good variety of birds, no sea mammels or washed up sea cucumbers observed. Last year's grafitti on Gwynn Creek culvert and Cumins Creek Bridge have been painted over. The grafitti to the bluff half way between culvert and bridge is the same as has been there for some time - it is an easy place for people to reach and write their names, etc. in the soft sandstone.

New Development
The hazardous tree on trail to North Neptune Beach has been cut and the original path is usable again. The detour that had been set up previous is now blocked off.
Natural Changes
On the far north border of this milepost there are three trees on a bluff that have roots exposed. We don't think this is new - we just rarely are able to walk this far north to observe things due to tides.

Someone/organization has painted over the grafitti that had been sprayed all over the retaining wall under the freeway at the Gwynn Creek culvert (just north of the north Neptune Beach parking lot).
