Number of people: 19. Number of dogs: 1. Walking or running: 14. The path leading to the beach has several large rocks blocking vehicles from the beach. One has been moved and we saw tire tracks on the sand. They didn't go very far onto the beach.

Notable Wildlife
We saw 7 species around the bushes on the walk to the beach. 1 Rufus Hummingbird, 4 Violet Green Swallows, 3 Red-winged Blackbirds, 4 Barn Swallows, 2 Song Sparrows, 3 Goldfinches, 1 White Crowned Sparrow. We also saw 3 Robins, 4 Harlequin Ducks, 4 Pelagic Cormorants, 2 Brandt's Cormorants, 1 Turkey Vulture sitting on the beach, 1 Spotted Sandpiper, 1 Surfbird, 1 Starling, gulls and crows.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 1. Cormorant carcass.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
Lots of amphipods dead in the drift line in the first sandy section.
Driftline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces. Very little trash.

When we arrived in the parking lot it was almost full but people seemed to be leaving.

It was a lovely day but the sand is gone from all but the first part of the beach so the rest is cobbles, making it hard to walk.

The day was very foggy so we didn't expect to see many birds but were very surprised to see 18 species, which has only happened two other times since 2003.

A sunny, very windy day that brought out a lot of people to enjoy the beach, mostly staying in the first sandy area.

It was a beautiful clear day and the wind only started up about 3 in the afternoon.

Florence had some rain but when we got to the mile it was just overcast and kept getting brighter.
