Report Details

An amazing day with no wind and a glassy ocean.   The gulls were finding food in the washed up kelp on the beach.  One section of the driftline was full of dead rockhoppers along with several eaten out crabs shells.  Only three orange seastars, far out on the rocks.  There were more last time.  There were a few seals on the rocks so the rest were probably out enjoying the calm water.  Not many people for such a beautiful day.

The day was very foggy so we didn't expect to see many birds but were very surprised to see 18 species, which has only happened two other times since 2003.
