Report Details

An almost summer like day with a calmer ocean brought lots of people out to Ocean Beach.  The majority of people present on the beach were actively rock hunting.  There were several groups at the picnic tables above the beach and two groups picnicking on the beach.  I noticed several rock hunters were also collecting trash.  There was much less styrofoam present than on my last visit.  I noted several large jellies in the sand and on the rocks.  I was unable to walk to the north end of the beach because of the tide level.  The entire beach with the exception of the area at the bottom of the stairs is covered with rock fields.
