It was a partly sunny day on Ocean Beach. Although it is the beginning of spring breaks in the area, there weren't many people on the beach. Those that were visiting were engaged in rock hunting as the sand that has been on the beach for the past several months has been washed out exposing lots of rock formations and rock fields. This is the first time in months that I haven't removed large chunks of plastic and styrofoam debris from the beach. I wasn't able to access the north end of the beach due to the tide level. Additionally, the tide came in quite quickly as I ended my walk.

Notable Wildlife
I noted a heron on the south end of the beach. He was fishing from the shore. I've never seen a heron on this beach before.
