Mile 147 was in excellent shape.

Mile 147 was in excellent shape. Very little garbage (It could be buried under new sand deposits from wind or tides). I had 5 people helping me look for trash and filled one 50 gallon garbage bag for the whole mile.There were 3 tires at mile 148 & 149 that need to be picked up. Lloyd Holloway was out on his 4 wheeler picking up trash and he carried our trash bag out. He may have also removed the lighter weight tires. One of the tires was very heavy and could not be lifted.

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 6.0 feet.

Number of people: 1. Other Activities: Picking up trash. Beach looked very clean. Picked up 1 50 gallon garbage of trash.

Cars/trucks parking: 3. ATVs/OHVs on beach, allowed: 1.
Notable Wildlife
Pair of Eagles and two juvniles. Pelicans. Sea Lions in the surf.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 6. Cormorant, seagull others could not tell.
Driftline Content
Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Styrofoam. Beach was very clean. A couple of light bulbs, rope, broken up plastic
New Development
Bluff development.
Actions & Comments
Picked up trash. Mile 147 was as clean as I have seen it. Could be new sand deposits have covered the trash.

Mile 147 exhibited a lot of sand being deposited against the bluff and jetty.

Miles 141-147 did not have any die offs or concentrations of dead marine or invertebrate animals.

Beach did not display any abnormalities as far as erosion or die offs of sealife.

Mile 147 looked clean with the build up of blowing summer sands.

Coastline along Mile 147 and the preceding Mile 144-146 were clean of major garbage and trash.

Since my last visit in June 2017 there were noticable difference to the bluff on the southern end of mile 147 before the Jetty.
