Beach did not display any abnormalities as far as erosion or die offs of sealife. One bag of trash mostly sandwich bags, plastic bags, bottles and bits of blue rope.

Temperature: 64 F. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 6.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 16. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 9. Playing in sand: 2. Fishing: 1. Other Activities: driving on the beach. 5. One fishing for sea perch, 2 forest service trucks checking the snowy plover roped off area. Others walking along beach.

Cars/trucks parking: 5. Cars/trucks on beach, allowed: 6. ATVs/OHVs on beach, allowed: 1.
Notable Wildlife
very quiet day with mostly sandpipers and gulls.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 1. Very decomposed. A large wing feather black and white in color.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
clusteres of Dungeness Crab on the beach around the drift line.
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.).
New Development
Bluff near the jetty filling with sand.
Picture of the foredune where the ATV's used to cross the foredune. It is now blocked off and filling with sand.

Mile 147 exhibited a lot of sand being deposited against the bluff and jetty.

Miles 141-147 did not have any die offs or concentrations of dead marine or invertebrate animals.

Mile 147 looked clean with the build up of blowing summer sands.

Coastline along Mile 147 and the preceding Mile 144-146 were clean of major garbage and trash.

Since my last visit in June 2017 there were noticable difference to the bluff on the southern end of mile 147 before the Jetty.
