Overall beach was clean and appeared in good condition.

Temperature: 51 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 0.5 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 6. Number of dogs: 2. Other Activities: collecting wood and clamming. Beach was quiet except for 2 people digging for clams and 2 people collecting driftwood.

Driftwood removal
Apparent violations: They were removing driftwood but not sure if that is illeagal.Vehicles
Notable Wildlife
Sandpipers, gulls, seals by jetty, jellyfish washed up onto beach with low tide. Very little seaweed or other plant life washed onshore.

Beach was free of dead fish and invertebrates

Actions & Comments
Beach was swept clean up to the loose sand and driftwood. Sand had covered most garbage. No sign of campfires or campsites near the jetty. A few bottles, styrofoam, rope and small plastics against the foredune. Garbage was removed if seen. One tire was placed in the parking lot so the ranger can pick it up. Tire was found near the parking area for sparrow beach.

Mile 147 exhibited a lot of sand being deposited against the bluff and jetty.

Miles 141-147 did not have any die offs or concentrations of dead marine or invertebrate animals.

Beach did not display any abnormalities as far as erosion or die offs of sealife.

Mile 147 looked clean with the build up of blowing summer sands.

Coastline along Mile 147 and the preceding Mile 144-146 were clean of major garbage and trash.

Since my last visit in June 2017 there were noticable difference to the bluff on the southern end of mile 147 before the Jetty.
