Nothing unusual on our miles, 147 and 148.

Nothing unusual on our miles, 147 and 148. The tide was far enough out that access was easy, even the entry from Sparrow Park Road. I have noticed over the years a steady decrease in the amount of driftwood on the beach. Just one other person on the whole 5 miles from the access point, the meandering man on an OHV towing a little trailer filled with objects he found along the tide line. I also noticed some small holes recently dug along the waterline at about mile 149 or 150, as if someone had been clamming before our arrival. Also, there was a remarkable absence of trash on the beach.

Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: SE.
Human Activities
Number of people: 1. Other Activities: 1 OHV w/trailer on beach. Just one guy in an OHV with a little trailer apparently stopping and picking up something but I couldn't tell what.
Vehicles
Cars/trucks parking: 2. ATVs/OHVs on beach, allowed: 1.
Notable Wildlife
A couple of groups of plovers, a few gulls and one large bird that we couldn't identify on about Mile 150.

Mile 147 exhibited a lot of sand being deposited against the bluff and jetty.

Beach appeared to be normal.

Miles 141-147 did not have any die offs or concentrations of dead marine or invertebrate animals.

Beach did not display any abnormalities as far as erosion or die offs of sealife.

Mile 147 looked clean with the build up of blowing summer sands.

Coastline along Mile 147 and the preceding Mile 144-146 were clean of major garbage and trash.

Since my last visit in June 2017 there were noticable difference to the bluff on the southern end of mile 147 before the Jetty.
