There was very little change or activity along this mile.

There was very little change or activity along this mile. Only one person was seen. There was a very high concentration of small dead crabs, possibly they were casings. Kelp/algae, plastic pellets and ocean-based debris in driftline. One dead gull. Tire tracks indicated a vehicle had been on the beach earlier that morning.

Temperature: 55 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: -0.5 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 1. Sitting: 1. Only One man sunbathing on driftwood log. Tire tracks in sand.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 1. seagull
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
A very large number of 1/2 to 1 inch dead crabs, possibly casings.
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea). Less garbage than past two months but higher sand level may be covering
