Very quiet and secluded.
Report Details
Very quiet and secluded. Tide was high but still exposed beach for walking. Evidence of high tides last week reaching dunes but no erosion. Moderate amount of driftwood and kelp piles. Flocks of sanderlings traveling north and south. A small amount of garbage, plastic bottles and rope. Quite a few bird parts, wings, etc. on beach. A high number of small jellies. Moderate amount of crab casings and razor clam shells. Beautiful day!

Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 8.1 feet.

Notable Wildlife
Sanderlings in flight. Three groups about 30-50 birds to each group.
Beached Birds
There were no whole dead birds however a number of bird parts, wings, etc.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
Unusual concentration. A good number of small jellies in drift line.

Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Shells, Wood pieces. rope, plastic bottles

Although there are signs of some erosion of dune, it is not bad.

There were a greater number of dead birds on the beach after Saturday's storm.

There was avery high concentration of by the wind sailor jellyfish at the high tide driftline.
