It was a beautiful day at Mile 106.

It was a beautiful day at Mile 106. The beach was very clear of litter. An average amount of driftwood. Very little evidence of any human activity. Sad to see the young sea lion perishing. I stayed a good distance away to not disturb or stress it further.

Some tire tracks on beach possibly from earlier in the day.

Stranded Marine Mammals
Total stranded mammals: 1. Juvenile sea lion, very emancipated, dying. Bodily fluids near body. 4-5 feet long. No obvious wounds on back or side that I could view. Many flies around it. Mile 106.5

There was avery high concentration of by the wind sailor jellyfish at the high tide driftline.
