Report Details
Just the dogs and a few gulls were the only signs of life around 7:30 a.m. on a chilly morning at low tide. In short, perfect. Bull kelp tangles were concentrated about midway on this mile, though scattered clumps were also around. Feathers, shell fragments, crab molts, stones, new logs and plastics from the sea occupied the drift line. Storm tides have reached the base of the dune in several spots, but so far no overtopping.
