Report Details

Northbound on a chilly but clear Christmas morning was glorious: a line of pink extended the length of the horizon above the sea before sunrise and was reflected on the wet sand. A flock of Sanderlings were wave dancing in their quest for breakfast. Several large pieces of plastic sheeting and yellow styrofoam filled a grocery bag. Other tideline content consisted of shell fragments, molt and small stones. No one else was on the beach, but I passed a truck parked along the access road upon leaving.
