Report Details

Pretty happy with the condition of our beach, especially just one week after Memorial Day and the kite festival crowds.  Picked up less than one bag of the routine bottles, cans, small plastics & paper...expected more.  60 or so post weekend beach goers enjoying the nice clean sand.  Just rocks, shells, and a little drift wood decorating the beach on the incomming tide.  Only one "junky" bonfire site, while the other dozen or so were left clean...seems like most people are getting the message.  A great sunny day to enjoy Rockaway Beach.

I love to see tourist families come down and enjoy the beach, but some use the beach as a party house and just leave a mess behind.
