Extremely clean beach. Only a handful of trash items (dog waste bag, straw, can, six pack plastic holder, wrappers, plastic cork) the entire mile.  spray paint tags across two rocks seen four homes in from n 3rd beach access.

Number of people: 17. Number of dogs: 3. Walking or running: 9. Playing in surf: 4. Other Activities: Bonfire - 3. Very light activity. Midweek spring day.

Concerns

Apparent violations: Continue to see private property signs placed on beach for the condo building on n 3rd. A couple rocks on beach four houses north of n 3rd and pacific beach entrance were tagged with spray paint. Picture below..

None seen.

Dead Fish or Invertebrates

Looked to be young lancet fish or similar on beach. Single one found.

I observed new signs in Rockaway city proper, restricting using the public access to the beach at 1st and 2nd Avenues. Sign reads NO ACCESS: Until further notice, all city owned paths, walkways, stairs, and any other improved or unimproved access ways to recreation areas are closed.
