A beautiful morning to do our walk, this time with the help of our granddaughter Josie.
Report Details
A beautiful morning to do our walk, this time with the help of our granddaughter Josie. Nothing unusual to report, just the everyday variety of "human" debris...lots of paper, plastic, cans, cigarette butts, abandoned beach toys & assorted clothing...two full kitchen bags worth. There were a lot of beach lovers and their dogs seeking relief from the high heat in the valley. The drift line was very clean...just good stuff like shells, rocks, and a few jelly fish. Thanks for helping Jo.

I submitted a report recently on a beach 245 miles to the South, mile 49, the Port beach in Port Orford, where I noticed many jellyfish washed up.

I observed new signs in Rockaway city proper, restricting using the public access to the beach at 1st and 2nd Avenues. Sign reads NO ACCESS: Until further notice, all city owned paths, walkways, stairs, and any other improved or unimproved access ways to recreation areas are closed.

Overall the beach looked pretty good for post king tides and fireworks.
