The driftline was mostly fresh woody debris from the round of flooding last week. It is denser as you move south to the jetty itself.There was a large float on the beach that may have arrived from the Japanese tsunami. 3 large plastic floats were found on the spit last month. I saw so many different types of birds along the jetty, I'm no bird expert but I thought I saw pelicans, herons, cormorants, and sea gulls.
