Mile 255 Report
Kiwanda Beach
November 9, 2022
We have been monitoring this section of beach for over 10 years now.
Report Details
We have been monitoring this section of beach for over 10 years now. In that time we have seen a great reduction in the amount of trash on the beach. In the early years we would fill large trash bags with styrofoam, glass and plastic bottles, shoes and flip-flops, fishing net and rope segments, and other debris. In recent years we have rarely filled a small garbage bag with trash. On this visit the most common item picked up was the cap from plastic water bottles.
