Juvenile bald eagle flew northbound just before the sighting of the gull.
Report Details
Juvenile bald eagle flew northbound just before the sighting of the gull. Seal was bobbing in the surf right by the dead gull. Saw a vulture and corvid fighting over the carcass (we had reached the Blue Heron entrance when we saw this.)

Temperature: 56 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Strong. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 5.0 feet.

Dead gull 0.4 miles south of Sahhali Shores trail access / 0.2 miles north of Blue Heron entrance.

Severe dune erosion causing many large shrubs and trees to fall onto the beach. Previous report in February showed dune cliff stable but receding.

Apparent crab exuvia - lots of Dungeness crab shells along the high-tide line and in the shallow mini-lagoons formed at low tide.
