Beach relatively clean, less debris seen than in previous visits.

Beach relatively clean, less debris seen than in previous visits. Only found 2 plastic bottles, much less styrofoam. Found a small wooden shipping pallet heavily encrusted with barnacles.

Temperature: 65 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: W. Tide Level: 1.5 feet.

Number of people: 4. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 4. Couple from rental house near beach looking for lost car keys in sand.

Flight of Pelicans flying along shore line.

Severe dune erosion causing many large shrubs and trees to fall onto the beach. Previous report in February showed dune cliff stable but receding.

Apparent crab exuvia - lots of Dungeness crab shells along the high-tide line and in the shallow mini-lagoons formed at low tide.
