Sunny day but cold wind blowing in from ocean.
Report Details
Sunny day but cold wind blowing in from ocean. More plastic than usual at high water line. Also more driftwood, including cut lumber and two wooden beams with mortice cuts for joints. One beam was about 10' long and had a slight curve to it as found in bridge timbers. More than usual number of bottles, both plastic and glass. Found a 1 liter glass bottle with Russian lettering "Vodka Prostaya" cast in the glass.

Severe dune erosion causing many large shrubs and trees to fall onto the beach. Previous report in February showed dune cliff stable but receding.

Apparent crab exuvia - lots of Dungeness crab shells along the high-tide line and in the shallow mini-lagoons formed at low tide.

Juvenile bald eagle flew northbound just before the sighting of the gull.
