Very warm and pleasant day, saw approx.

Very warm and pleasant day, saw approx. 15-20 people walking on beach. Beach was very clean, only saw a few small pieces of styrofoam and one barnacle-encrusted styrofoam fishing float. No shore birds observed, some flights of gulls and a few crows.

Temperature: 70 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: S. Tide Level: 4.0 feet.

Number of people: 15. Number of dogs: 3. Walking or running: 14. Fishing: 1. Several people walking.

Few gulls and crows flying over, no other birds noted.

Severe dune erosion causing many large shrubs and trees to fall onto the beach. Previous report in February showed dune cliff stable but receding.

Apparent crab exuvia - lots of Dungeness crab shells along the high-tide line and in the shallow mini-lagoons formed at low tide.

Juvenile bald eagle flew northbound just before the sighting of the gull.
