Another stunning day on Schooner South! Quite windy but beautiful sunshine. 23 folks out enjoying the beach along with 4 dogs and a bike had gone by as well. The cliff/bluff continues to erode and further exposes the drainage pipes all along this mile. In doing large debris surveys for COASST I also am much more aware of the large debris on our beach, we have 22 pieces that are over 50cm. There were 5 deceased Common Murres (no COASST zip ties yet) and 2 other dead birds. No mammals today which was a relief after seeing the sea lion on the beach 2 days ago (alive). On a side note, one of my photos today is of just the cigarette butts that I collected as I returned from my beach up 68th to 1/2 way up Avery...pretty depressing....we all know where these would have ended up!

A sad day for Mile 220, although the weather was amazing it was super hard and sad to see the tar globs in the mid-section of my mile.
