Bummer of a day walking onto our beach and seeing the bluffs spray painted.

Bummer of a day walking onto our beach and seeing the bluffs spray painted. Lots of bull kelp and sea palm washed up along with mole crab shells. Lots of beached birds including 3 tagged for COASST. 2 large Big skate egg cases.
Conditions
Temperature: 52 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 4.2 feet.

Concerns
Fire
Apparent violations: Fire rings with broken glass in them (I cleaned what I could), more of a concern: spray paint tagging of the bluff....incredibly sad..Vehicles

Lots of gulls, 4 surf scoters

Total dead birds: 8. 3 COASST tags: # 60, 48 and 58

Total stranded mammals: 1. possible small sea lion rib cage

A sad day for Mile 220, although the weather was amazing it was super hard and sad to see the tar globs in the mid-section of my mile.
