Report Details

Chilly windy morning on 220. Lots of birds: 2 squadrons of pelicans flew over, 4 eagles, 9 Turkey vultures, a bunch of shorebirds and 2 separate gulls who were behaving out of the ordinary. One gull was up against the bluff sitting and not moving (other than his head) and another (pictured) who was in the higher beach area also not moving. This is really uncommon on 220 as most gulls will walk or fly off as you approach. I left lots of distance but tried to see if they were entangled by something (didn't see anything from afar. I post it here only because it was unusual behavior. The usual huge drainage pipes are still becoming more exposed from the bluff. Some plastics but not much with the wind blowing pretty hard.

A sad day for Mile 220, although the weather was amazing it was super hard and sad to see the tar globs in the mid-section of my mile.
