In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the park has been closed to all traffic (vehicle and non-vehicle). Despite this closure, there were 2 non-compliant walkers who were observed walking on paved roads through the park. With minimal human activity on the headland due to the park's closure, there has been a noticable increase in the number and variation of wildlife spotted at the park. Notable wildlife sightings include Harbor Seals, Bald Eagles, Brown Pelicans, Brandt's and Pelagic Cormaorants, Pigeon Guillemots, and Common Murres. Common Murres have begun to consistantly colonize on the rocks just off the coast of the headland.
