Report Details
It was a chilly, cloudy/foggy Monday morning so there were only a handful of visitors in the park, none of whom were on the beach. The swell was large, so the harbor seals were unable to convalesce on the rocks. I did spot a few of them in the water as well as the usual gulls and pelicans plus a lone blue heron in the tidepools. The driftline was mostly comprised of natural debris - kelp, driftwood, shells and a portion of a gull carcass - but there were some bits of plastic that looked to be fishing related. It was nice to be on the beach all by myself.
