Report Details

Report finds no unusual developments or observations at this location and no new causes for concern were identified. Visition remains characteristically high for the month of July. Many recreators were found exploring tidepools and utilizing beaches and nearby trails. The resident harbor seal colony was observed and appears to be thriving this year. Nesting common murres and cormorants were identified in signficant numbers on offshore rocks (they have settled down to breed and are not simply perching there as in the spring or early summer), and gulls were seen nesting on the opposing cliff faces comprising the shoreline. Surveyors also noticed pelicans visiting the site in numbers which may be considered somewhat above average for this mile of coast.
