Report Details
The tide was coming in having been at its lowest at 6:23 a.m., i.e. -2.3 feet. It was a beautiful morning except for a bit of chilly wind from the north. The beach was clean. Beyond the high tide mark were sea rocket plants all along the beach, some dead sea weeds still remained.
Conditions
Temperature: 55 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 5.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 17. Number of dogs: 1. Walking or running: 12. Sitting: 2. Surfing: 1. Fishing: 2. At the jetty we also found vehicle tracks having made a huge circle. In addition to the five cars two big pickup trucks with large trailers were parked, on one trailer sat a modified all-terrain vehicle that apparently had been used judging from remains of sand on the wheels. The other trailer was empty, however, it looked from ropes and straps left that it had taken off to somewhere.
Vehicles
Driftline Content
Land-based debris (picnics, etc.). While most of the beach was very clean, close to the jetty were hundreds of very small broken pieces of plastic.
